Summary of the Reading: The Globalization is in danger although it seems to be irreversible in long run. Anti –liberalist ideas which started to exist in early 1900s had affected globalization so much so there had been some changes in globalization and economical policies of countries. It is still alive but there is a threat to today’s globalization in our century. Questions or activities leaders will use to stimulate discussion:

1) What are the irreversible affects of globalization?
2) What are the facts that reduce costs in communication and transportation?
3) According to statistics, ratios of trade to GDP in many advanced countries are not that much higher than they were in 1913. What has caused this do you think?
4) Why capital mobility is today much greater for short- term instruments than it was in the earlier period?
5) What are the effects of migration on globalization?
6) What are the reasons that raise welfare states?
7) What makes governments restrict Laissez faire?
8) What were the collectivist ideas by the time First World War? How did this ideas affected globalization?
